Franco Baking Company Launches Three New Classic Bread Varieties Across Northern Nevada

Franco Baking Company, a northern Nevada bakery owned and operated by Roundabout Catering Group, announces the launch of three new classic bread varieties: White Bread, Wheat Bread and Marble Rye. Designed to be everyday staples, the new loaves expand Franco’s core lineup while delivering the same quality, care and consistency that have defined the bakery for more than 50 years.

Crafted for dependable texture, flavor and performance, the new breads are ideal for sandwiches, toast and daily meals. While all three varieties reflect Franco’s commitment to simplicity and quality, the Marble Rye stands out with its distinctive swirl and balanced flavor, appealing to both traditional bread lovers and customers seeking something a little more special.

“These are the kinds of breads customers reach for week after week,” said MaryBeth Smith, owner of Franco Baking Company and Roundabout Catering Group. “We’ve had customers asking for everyday staples, especially Marble Rye, for years. This launch is about doing the basics right and offering reliable, high-quality breads that families and retailers can count on from a local bakery they trust.”

The new White, Wheat and Marble Rye breads are available now at 10 Raley’s locations across Reno, Sparks and South Lake Tahoe. Franco will continue working with additional retail partners to expand availability, with broader placement expected as stores review shelf space at the beginning of Q2 2026.

Product development was guided by direct customer feedback and long-term purchasing habits. Franco focused on strengthening its foundational lineup with breads that deliver consistent quality, performance and availability for both retailers and consumers.

The timing of the launch reflects renewed demand for familiar, dependable products from local brands. As shoppers increasingly seek out staples made close to home, the expansion marks a natural next step in Franco’s growth following years of success with specialty and signature breads.

Baked locally in Sparks, Nevada, Franco products continue to reflect the bakery’s commitment to freshness, consistency and strong customer relationships throughout northern Nevada. Franco was acquired by MaryBeth and Colin Smith in 2023, who have owned and operated food and beverage businesses in the Reno-Sparks area since 2007.
