As Seen on Fox 11: Winter Ham
Hams are super easy — whether it’s a shoulder, picnic or spiral — they’re already smoked or cooked, so you’re actually just warm/heating it.
During this segment, Chef Colin put some scores on the sides of it that will expand as heat gets into it. We added a mustard seed and cinnamon glaze on it.
Chef Colin loves scalloped potatoes with ham. He took whole carrots, butternut squash and ciopollini onions and tossed them in olive oil, tandoori spice; and then roasted them with orange skin for an amazing aromatic effect.
It’s festive and simple!
The ham bone can also be used for stock with lentils for lentil soup, and the ham sandwiches for leftovers are also a great treat!
