How do the programs work?
Gym Rat and Caveman offer delicious, fresh and healthy meal plan options in the right proportions. All of our meals are prepared locally in our kitchen. We service the northern Nevada area (Reno, Sparks, Carson City).
We offer two plans – Gym Rat and Caveman. The typical protein options are beef, chicken, turkey, salmon, and pork. We do occasionally offer cod and shrimp. We do allow one protein substitution.
Gym Rat meal plans offer different options for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and two snacks or only lunch and dinner daily.
Caveman meal plans offer different options for breakfast, lunch, dinner or only lunch and dinner daily.
Both meal plans run on a 4-week cycle providing either 5 or 6 days of meals per week. Each meal is pre-packaged and all you need to do is to keep refrigerated heat it up. Monday you will pick up meals for Mon-Wed and Thursday you will pick up meals for Thurs-Fri (5 day) or Thurs-Sat (6 day).
What is the difference between Gymrat and Caveman?
Gym Rat – The Gym Rat line is clean eating, using fresh, seasonal ingredients. Gym Rat foods include complex carbohydrates, but in a balanced, proportioned fashion. The approximate breakdown is 45 percent carbs, 30 percent protein and 25 percent high quality, “good” fats as general macronutrient guidelines.
Caveman – Caveman is a Paleo-style meal program that uses fresh, seasonal ingredients planned and prepared by the Roundabout Catering team in our very own kitchen. The approximate breakdown is 25 percent carbs, 35 percent protein and 40 percent high quality, “good” fats as general macronutrient guidelines. Caveman replaces all grains with vegetables and a higher protein portion.
What is the pricing?
The pricing shown is per person for a 4 week program. With Gym Rat, you can choose from 1,200, 1,800, 2,400 or 3,000-calorie meal plans with the pricing shown accordingly. With Caveman, there are 1,500 and 2,000-calorie meal plans.
There is a one-time fee of $40 per plan that includes delivery fee, packaging and ice packs that will be charged after you complete the sign up and payment online for a meal package.
Gym Rat now offers an automatic renewal service after the 4-week cycle. If you do not log on to your customer portal and cancel your plan, you will be automatically charged for the next 4 week cycle and continue to receive food. We do send a reminder e-mail before the next charge. Make sure to cancel with three business days advance notice before the next pick up.
Where can our meals be picked up?
We have multiple locations available for pick up. Pick up days are every Monday and Thursday. Holidays are skipped dates and added to the end of each 4-week cycle.

How do I cancel?
We do not offer a cancellation option before your 4-week cycle is up (there will be no refunds if you do cancel before your cycle is up). However, we do offer the option to pause or skip your service for a specific amount of time. You will simply log into your customer portal and uncheck the drop dates you would like to skip. Make sure to uncheck the box for the drop you want to skip three business days in advance.
Gym Rat offers an automatic renewal service after the 4-week cycle. If you do not log on to your customer portal and set your plan to cancel, you will be charged at noon on the date of your last drop. We do send a reminder e-mail before the next charge. A quick log in to your portal will allow you to cancel any auto renewals or charges. Preferably, login to your portal three business days in advance of the next pick up.

Is Gym Rat Foods Gluten Free?
Yes, our Lunch & Dinner only meal plan options are mostly gluten free. We are not, however, a gluten free certified manufacturing facility. If you are highly gluten intolerant or celiac, our meal plan may or may not be for you. The only grains we use in our kitchen are brown rice, quinoa, oatmeal, and we only use gluten free sauces and spices. Lunches and Dinners may have brown rice, quinoa, and corn tortillas. Dairy products are incredibly sparse in our lunches and dinners, with the very infrequent use of fat-free half and half, and feta cheese. Our snacks include whey protein and oatmeal, while our lunches and dinners do not.
How do I re-heat the food?
Most meals are delivered chilled and are best served warmed up in the microwave of stove top. Since all of our food comes pre-cooked and is cooked to a safe internal temperature you may eat the food cold if you desire. To reheat most meals, simply vent a corner of the meal and place in the microwave for about 90 seconds. If warmer temperature of the food is desired, reheat for 30 seconds at a time additionally, stirring between each :30 second interval. Most foods should be cooked to desired temperature within 3 minutes of total cook time in the microwave. Meals can be reheated in a conventional oven or on the stove top as well.

I am doing Show Prep for a body building competition. Do you have meal plans?
Yes, we have experience working with individuals preparing for body building competitions. We offer a SHOWPREP meal plan with set macros and calories in 2 different portion sizes. We offer a 1500 Calorie and 2,250 Calorie SHOWPREP Meal Plan with Macros set at 40% Protein, 40% Carbohydrates and 20% Fats. Please contact us for more information: email@example.com.

How do I sign up for a meal plan on the customer portal?
Sign up for an account with the customer portal by going to the customer portal main page and click on “Sign Up”. You will be asked to enter an email address and then choose a password. Near the top of the screen, located just to the right of the Gym Rat Foods logo is the “Plan” link where you can select your meal plan. You will have several options to choose from: including Gym Rat, Caveman and Show Prep. Click on the meal plan you would like, and you will be brought to a “Plan Details” page. Fill out this information with your name, phone number, gym and trainer that referred you, where you would like to pick up your meals, and any food substitutions you don’t want to receive. The next step is to click “Next” and be brought to the “Billing” page, where you will enter your billing name, billing address and credit card information. After all information is entered, click on “Complete Checkout”.
How do I skip a food drop?
Sign in to your customer portal and on your “Dashboard” it will list the dates that you are set to receive food. Simply uncheck the box for the date that you do not wish to receive food, and check an additional box on a date in the future. When you have done this, make sure to click on “Update Plan” at the bottom of the page to save your new drop dates. Deadlines for skipping a drop on Monday is the previous Thursday (4 days prior) at 12:00pm noon, and skipping a drop on Thursday is the previous Monday (3 days prior) at 12:00pm noon.
How do I change meal plans?
Log in to your customer portal and go to the “Plans” link near the top of the page. Now simply select the meal plan you would like to change to and you will get a prompt from the website about a prorated charge to your credit card if your selection has a higher price point than the plan you are currently on.
How do I change my email or password to my account?
After logging in to your account, go to the “Profile” link near the top of the page. Here you will have the ability to change your email address (which will change your login name) and your password.
